Let’s face it. You or someone you know is probably in crisis. In this session, we will practice simple, yet challenging, mindfulness and compassion techniques that have centered people for thousands of years. By harnessing the power of community, we will learn to steady each other and find calm in the storm. You will also be provided with resources that incorporate trauma-informed healing, neuroscience, and epigenetics.
Emily Horn is an authorized dharma and meditation teacher through Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Insight Meditation Society, and InsightLA. She is also a Certified Mindfulness Teacher via the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. Emily has been called a “power player of the mindfulness movement” by Wired Magazine. Her meditations are featured in the 10% Happier, Brightmind, and buddhify apps. For her, a mindful life is simply learning to dance with all of this human experience: from transcendence to dirty dishes, evolutionary edges to ancient roots, solitary practice to deepening relationships. Emily lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina with her husband, Vince, and son, Zander.
