Learn about different types of sugar and how they are presented on food labels, ways to overcome sugar cravings, ideas for weaning off sugar, and alternatives to sugar for cooking and snacking . Our presenter, Ofri Gilan—chef, educator, and owner/founder of Asheville Mountain Kitchen—will also demonstrate three creative, delicious recipes using sugar alternatives.
At Asheville Mountain Kitchen cooking school, Ofri offers classes both in-person in Asheville and online. With 20 years experience helping implement therapeutic diets, she believes that cooking healthy food is the foundation of good health.
